Hello
Everyone!!!!
The world is waiting for you and there is heaps to see.
There is too much in this world for us to ever see everything in it
but
we have to try.
The saying is “You only live once”.
So if you can travel

It will make you a more interesting person to know because you
will become
more interested in other things.
There is so much beauty in
the world and so much mystery so don’t waste a

<日本では私エーリアンなのよ?>
The Alien Test
In Japan people from
countries other than Japan are called “Aliens”.
In many countries such as the
US most people think of Aliens as little green
men that come from Mars.
I have got to tell you it felt strange and a little shocking to be called
an
“Alien” in Japan.
When I was living in Japan I was issued an “Alien
Card” so when I came home
from holidays to Australia I would show my friends
and tell them I had moved
to Mars for a while.
My friends would then
write to me to ask me what it was like living in mars so
I would send them
some roasted peas in a packet.
I would tell them that this was Martian food.
Sometimes I heard people get upset about being called an alien but really it
does not matter because we are all on the same planet……I
think.
<キンバ!!じゃなくてシンバなのよ!>
Kimba!!!! No it is Simba!!!
I was just
a small child when I packed every thing into a small red school case.
I
packed lots of lion food which I believed to be dry stale biscuits from
the
dog’s bowl and a food items that were essential for travel to
Africa
such as insect repellent.
Well than many years later I came to
Japan and found that Kimba (known as Simba
in Japan)
was actually
Japanese and that he was very very popular.
Finally I was able to buy a
T-Shirt with Kimba on it and that was just fantastic.
Growing up with Kimba
and Astro Boy (Atom in Japan) was terrific and I am sure
that these
characters will live on in the children to come…
when they get bored with
Pokemon perhaps.
Does anyone know the name of the Japanese artist or rather
cartoonist that
created these characters as it would be great to
know?
*Kimba: 手塚治のジャングル大帝レオの事です。
*Astro Boy:
鉄腕アトム *Pokemon:ポケモン
どれもオーストラリアでは有名だそうですよ。
<ラッシュアワーって大変ネ!>
Have you
ever felt like this on a train?
When I was in Japan I was catching a train
for the first time in Tokyo from a
station called Ueno.
I am sure you
all know it well.
There was a man with white gloves and he was pushing
people onto the train.
He was gentle but it was very stressful because there
were so many people.
I was with two other Australians and we were so scared
that we ran out of the
station and found another line.
I came back to
Ueno a while later and there was not as many people so we must
have caught
it in peak hour.
Boy!
Was it scary!
Here where I live you can get a
seat even in peak hour.
<それじゃーまたね!メールくださいね!>
Well that is all for this
week….talk to me…tell me what you like to hear….
I will answer………until
then….English…it is easy if you practice!
So get writing!
Take care, Ajet

皆さんお元気ですか?!
<アカデミー賞のご覧になった??...ニコルもラッセルもだめだったわ...>
Hello
Everyone!
Well with the Academy Awards now over we can breathe easy that the
fashion
will not be talked about for at least another year.
In the
States this is such a big event and surpasses most sporting events in
terms
of TV viewers.
This year the worst dressed was Gwyneth Palthrow
and the best dressed was
Hali Berri.
Here in Australia we all watched
and waited for Nicole Kidman and Russell
Crowe to get an award but they
missed out.
I do not know if you watch this in Japan but if you do not but
you are a movie
enthusiast then here is the website
www.oscar.org this is a great site but if you
are more interested in old movies
then try www.filmsite.org/oscars.html this
will give you a chance to see who
has won in the past.
The organisers of
the award changed the phrase they use.
They now say “and the Academy Award
goes to..” instead of “and the winner
is…” because this meant that the
unsuccessful nominees were “losers”.
Oh by the way if you hate Academy Awards
and think it is all hogwash
then try this site for a laugh
www.theconnection.org/archive/2001/03/0323b.shtml
.
<こんなペットの話もあったわ....>
Topic: Your Pet…is a part of the family.
We
all get attached to our pets even if they are not real.
When I stayed in
Japan I bought my little cousin a pet.
It was a puppy tamagochi.
(タマゴッチ)
She wrote and told me how much she loved her puppy and how it
was
learning new tricks.
It became a big part of her and her mother’s
life as it had to be fed and
exercised regularly.
Sometimes it needed to
go out during the night (doggy doos) and it really
was a member of the
family.
Her mother had to take the puppy to work and had it on her desk to
make sure
it was fed during the day.
Then a really bad thing happened.
She went on a school field trip for two days and her mother forgot to
feed
the puppy tamagochi.
When she returned she ran into her room and
came out in tears.
The puppy was gone.
She called me in Japan to tell me
her puppy had run away and she cried.
I didn’t want to laugh because she was
serious.
This puppy had been important.
So I told her to go and get a
pen and press the reset button.
There the puppy came back and she was so
happy.
Her mother on the other hand was not happy at
all.
<子供に英語を教えたかったら......>
Topic: I want to teach my kids
English
English is now becoming a necessity for children to learn from an
early age
if their parents want them to be a success later on in major
Japanese International
companies such as Toshiba, Sanyo and Fuji.
It is
something that can be difficult though because lessons can be expensive
and
take time.
Well here is another solution teach your children at home on the
Internet.
Try to make it fun and set aside a little time each day.
Here
are some sites that may help
www.kidsfreeware.com/school/play_alphabet.html
Or
www.lauriesstories.com
This
site is all about learning to read and write.
If you have trouble getting
into these sites please let me know.
Sometimes children are more relaxed
learning from home rather than going
to class so I hope these sites
help.
<日本は魅力一杯ね!>
Topic: Time to go to festivals
A lot of foreign
teachers that come to live in Japan fall in love with the country
and stay a
lot longer than they planned.
Some marry and stay forever.
However there
are some that never really like Japan but for most of them it is
because
they never see all of Japan and it’s many attractions.
There is so much to
see and it will take years for anyone to see even some of
the festivals
offered but may I suggest that if you have a teacher you help them
to know
what is on and how they can get there.
One very interesting festival is on
the 29th of April in Kyoto.
It is the Jonan-gu Shrine “Kyokusui no Utage
Festival”.
Here is the telephone number to get details 075-623-0846
You
can hear the “koto” in the background as Japanese poets in traditional
dress
read real “waka” (31 syllable Japanese poems).
Kyoto is such a beautiful
city so it should definitely be seen by everyone in
their
lifetime.
Perhaps you have never been so try to go this year as this is a
real treat for
not only your ears but your spirit.
<こんなレストランはいかが?>
Topic: Restauant Guide
If you need a treat and you
have not gone out for a long time here is a very
reasonable place to go in
Tokyo.
It is “Soshoku” and it is Chinese style vegetarian cooking.
One
of the most popular dishes is Tay Ban Soo Yee which looks like fish
but is
actually made from tofu.
is open 11am to 3pm and 5pm to 10pm. Be careful
because it is closed
every second and forth Monday. The number is
(0425)77-3446
The address is 8-19-1 Naka, Kunitachi-shi,
Tokyo.
<女性の仕事と育児について意見を聴かせて...>
Topic Should Women have children later
in Life
Now it is a hot debate whether woman should be having babies until
they are
in their 50s.
Scientists have just come up with a method to
make this possible.
Many woman are having their first child in their 30s and
40s instead of in
their 20s.
What do you think?
Do you think women
can have a career and a family?
Do you think that society will change for
the better or worse because of this
trend to have a family later?
I want
to hear your opinion so please say one line or a letter it does not
matter
but have a say.
What do men feel?
There are many “homedads”
now and more than ever before.
Do men like the change
too?
<それでは、またね!笑って楽しくいきましょう!>
Until next week…keep on laughing because
it is good for stress
Talk to you soon

みんな 元気!?
<馬年の人はラッキーなの??>
Hello
Everyone!
It is the Chinese year of the horse!
For those of you born in
the year of the horse it should be a good one!
The Chinese say that when it
is your signs year you should celebrate your life
for the whole year as each
day is a gift.
Well I guess that is good advice for everyone.
I always
wanted to be born in the year of the horse because I thought it was
the most
lucky Chinese sign.
As a child I believed that to rub the shoulder of a horse
gave you good luck
and I never got bitten or stood on so I guess it
worked.
Well if you can get close enough to one that is fine....but if not
then it is a good
excuse to go to the races
anyway.
<しっかり休息を取ってネ!>
Topic: I feel tired
Me too!!!
Everyone
gets sleepy and in the day you may feel a little too tired.
Do you need a
sleep?
Well believe it or not some doctors recommend a cat nap during the
day.
Yes just sit in your chair and gently close your eyes for ten
minutes.
Try not to let your head touch your computer keyboard or the
desk.
If this is not possible then get up and have a short walk to get your
circulation
going again.
Be careful that you are not working for too long
though as this will take away
your energy.
If you are working any longer
than 10 hours then you are working too long!
Hey! Maybe you need a
holiday...so go and see a travel agent and plan a holiday.
That will give you
something to look forward to.
<世界中の料理を楽しみましょう!>
Topic: Food from
around the world......
There are so very many countries and for however many
countries and places
there are in the world, there are as many types of
foods.
If you have a favorite recipe from somewhere then please send it in so
we can all
try to go to a different place together in a week.
This week I
think it is time to put on your winter hat and let's ski on over
to
Switzerland.
Get your family into it and find out as much as you can about this country
and where it is on the map of the world.
It will help
all of us to get to know our world better and become a bit more global.
One
of the most well known dishes is called Fondue.
This can be a cheese fondue
for the main meal or a dessert fondue for after dinner.
The cheeses are
usually melted in a pot and then the vegetables and meat are
dipped in the
sauce.
It is fun for the family to do this and is similar to shabu
shabu.
There is a very good Swiss restaurant that does this in Tokyo.
It
is called the Swiss Chalet.
It is located in the Shinjuku Nomura
Building
1-26-2- Nishi Shinjuku, Shinjuku- ku, Tokyo.
Lunch is from 11am
to 2.30pm
Dinner is from 5pm to 10.30pm
Call first to make a booking on

<ホームステーでいやになっちゃたら....>
Topic: I went on a homestay
and now I don't fit in.
This is a common feeling when people return to their
own country and
it is called reverse culture shock.
It is a terrible
feeling that you have changed and now you do not belong.
You feel alone and
sad.
This is all very normal but of course you want to feel better and there
are some
things you can do.
If you want to cry then have a good cry as it
is best not to keep all your emotions
inside.
After that then you need to
call friends and relatives to tell them you are home
and have a good chat
with them.
They will be happy to see you so arrange to meet them.
This
will make you feel like you have been missed and they will want you to
feel
welcome too.
Join a club or some local group of interest or do a
course so you can meet new people.
Don't forget to keep writing to your
friends in your homestay country as well.
It is important to keep those
friends as well as making new friends.
Also give yourself time to settle back
in and be kind to yourself as it takes time.
Your experience will change you
but it is for the better so share your experience
with others.
If you get
sad just remember how special you are and lots of others think so
too.
<海外からのE-mail犯罪にも気を付けなくちゃネ!>
Topic: Net Scams
Have you been
getting strange e-mails?
Beware!!!!
There are many net scams.
Net scams
are found on the Internet and are usually sent to you via e-mail.
In fact now
lots of people get them and one of the best known is the letter from
Nigeria.
This letter says there is lots of money and they need to get it out
of the country so they
ask you to help.
Please do not as this is a very
big scam.
If you want to check on recent scams please look at this site http://www.scambusters.org
This site is
interesting and is worth checking.
<Ajetのホームページも宜しくネ!>

Please check our homepage and put a message on the board
there!!!
It is the year to learn English!

みんな!元気?2月は恋の季節なの?
Hello
Everyone!
It is February and love is in the air.
Even people who do not
like chocolate like Valentine's Day.
It is the time to be bold and send a
card to someone you like or just
to a friend.
If you want to make someone
's day then send them a mystery card.
I once sent my sister a mystery card
and she always wondered who sent it.
It was a little funny because at the
time she was wondering who sent it.
Then a friend of hers said he had sent
it!
So after a month I told her it was me.
Oh well. She did believe me
but she said it was fun to think it was him.
<カードの言葉 Top10>
Top 10
sayings to put on the card.
1. Roses are red
Violets are blue
I
want my Valentine...
to be You!
2. Roses are pink
Violets are
blue
Who is my Valentine?
I wish it was you!
3. Be my
Valentine.
I want to make you mine!
4. Love is great
Love is
grand
Love is sweet....
when you hold my hand.
5.Someone told me
you were waiting...
to say you love me true
Someone said that I should
send....
this Valentines wish to you.
Be my Valentine!
6. Do
you know someone that loves you?
Well now it seems you do.
The person who
sent this card....
really loves you!
7. Cupid came and shot an
arrow.
It landed near my heart
Cupid thought we should be
together...
right from the start
8. You do not know who sent
this...
It was little me.

Topic: Love at work
Oh no! You
like someone at work. You really, really like them.
You want to ask them
out.
Should you?
Well maybe you want to but think carefully first.
If
the relationship breaks up then you may want to find another job.
If the
relationship gets serious you may be asked to leave by the company.
It is not
a good idea and it is better to just have fun at work
and enjoy the
friendship.
If you cannot just do that then keep the relationship quiet and
don't tell people.
<どうやって愛を伝えるの???>
How to show someone you love
them...
Well there are so many ways but one way is to cook a special dinner.
I once thought this would be a good idea.
I went and did all the shopping
and decided to make a roast chicken dinner.
I put on the oven and got the
vegetables ready.
I was making a dessert that was very complex.
I was
busy making the dessert and thought the oven should be hot enough
so I put
in the chicken and put on the timer to one hour.
I put all the vegetables
into the water and cooked the potatoes.
I finally finished the complex
chocolate dessert.
I was exhausted so sat and had a cup of coffee.
After
about thirty minutes I checked the vegetables and put in the dish with the
potatoes.
I was really busy cleaning the house and got ready for the
dinner.
I did not think about the food much as I was busy.
I was ready and
went to check the chicken because I could not smell anything.
Well I opened
the oven and it was cold
......I had turned on the grill and not the
oven.
The chicken was still frozen.
Oh no what should I do....my guest
would be here in ten minutes.
So I made an omelet.
I was really
embarrassed but I learnt that I should be more careful
......so much for food
and love!
At least the dessert worked out well.
<こんな食事は???>
Food of
Love...
The foods of love are said to
be...
Oysters
Avocado
Chocolate
Tomatoes
Spaghetti (
Share)......make sure it is all with a good red wine!
Well be lucky in
love and enjoy your Valentines Day.
All the best and talk to you next
week!

<今年は周りの人を大切にする年にしたいわ!>
Hello
Everyone!
Sorry I have been away as this year has already been both joyous
and tragic.
In January I was in England and was able to meet my very best
friend I had not seen since I was eight years old.
I can tell you there is so
much joy in meeting someone after such a long time.
We both had no idea what
the other would look like as we only really had baby photos of one
another.
Then in the new year I lost my Grandmother.
She was the sort of
person we all want to be when we get older.
She was wise and kind and we will
miss her always.
It made me think that we need to really appreciate those
around us because life is so short.
Let us make this year a year to
appreciate and notice small things.
Also do small good deeds for others to
make the world a better place to live in.
All the best to you all and may you
all find happiness in so many ways.

<みなさん!お元気??私のISPつぶれちゃったの......>
Hello Everyone.
Well it is better late than never I say (very useful idiom)....
Sorry this e-mag is so late to get to you but I have had a few technical problems
with my ISP.
( I just learnt that ISP means Internet Service Provider)
My ISP has spent all it's money so it is closing down and everyone has to find
a new way to get onto the Internet.
I cannot believe how important computers have become.
My computer is my life and that is sad I know.
Well hope you are all having a better week....but let's move on to more useful
topics.
<人間関係って難しいわネ!>
Topic: Relationship Stress
Everyone feels tension and stress in their relationship at times and it is important
not to blame anyone.
That is life!
We all have something that we do that annoys the other person or drives them
crazy.
Here are some quick tips to think about to try to make things better.
Remember...no relationship is perfect so it is worth a try.
<原因を究明しよう!>
1. Work out what stresses you
Write down when you feel stressed and what caused it.
keep a stress diary so you can look back at it later.
If you know what causes the stress then you can find a way to solve it.
<順位付けしよう!>
2. Prioritize
Decide what is really important to you and what isn't.
Find something to relax you and make sure you are not working all the time.
For example many people go to work then come home to cook or do housework
or maybe you take care of the children all day and then have to cook
and clean as well.
If this is you then you need to take a break between the work so come home
and sit down for half an hour or so.
Make the jobs at home a team effort and put this new plan for all to see
on the refrigerator.
Don't do it all yourself so that you are always exhausted.
*Prioritize:優先順位付け
<運動もGoo...>
3. Exercise
Get rid of your stress by doing some exercise everyday.
It will make you feel better and is great for your body too.
<できるだけシンプルに...>
4. Simplify
Try to make your life as simple as possible.
If you are too busy then make more when you cook and use it for another meal.
Get people in your house to help with all the jobs or hire someone to clean
the house.
<自分で考えてみよう...>
5. Solve Your Problems
Try some new ways to solve your problems.
Ask yourself and write down the answer to these questions....
What is the problem?
What caused it?
What are my choices?
What is the best choice?
<たまには”NO”も必要?>
6. Learn to say no
We often always say yes to things.
Others ask you to do more work.
Some want more of your time.
Try to say no occasionally.
You can't do everything for everybody.
<よく寝て...>
7. Sleep well
It is important to sleep for 8 hours.
Yes the body needs 8 hours to mend.
If you are not getting 8 hours of sleep...then you are cheating your body.
<笑っちゃおう>
8. Have a Laugh
This is my favorite!
Humor is the best way to cope with stress.
Learn to laugh at yourself
A good laugh is good for your heart!!
<イギリスへの旅にはお薦め>
Travel Question: We want to visit the gardens of some places
when we are in England.
We love flowers and the traditional cottage garden. Can you help?
Yes the information is easy to get.
Contact the British Tourist Authority and they are on the Internet.
Or you can try www.visitbritain.com/gardens
It is well worth a look!
<ビン・ラディン氏のTOP8は...判るかな...?>
Top 8 names for Asama Bin Laden......
1. Asama bin late
2. Asama bin around a while
3. Asama bin hiding
4. Asama bin silly
5. Asama bin everywhere
6. Asama the two numbers
7. Asama bin too busy to call
8. Asama bin very bad
<子供を援助した計画って知ってる?>
Reach out and help-
A lady in Australia is looking for information about a program
in Japan to help kids.
She wants to know about a program that helped kids
after the Kobe Earthquake.....
So if you know anything please contact me.
I would really appreciate your help.

<みなさん応募して!>
Win..win..win
Yes we actually have a competition.
To take away our stress.
We are giving away 5 Australis cosmetic packs.
If you are a man then we will send you some other gift with it.
The catch is you have to answer a question.....
The question is......
” What is your favorite color and why? ”
The first five answers will get a prize.
Please include your name and address so I can send it to you by post.
Looking forward hearing from you.
Take care and stay stress free...

<みなさん!お元気ですか?ハロウィーンも終わっちゃネ!>
Hello
Everyone!
Halloween is now over and it is time to stop talking to pumpkins.
I don't know if it is popular in Japan but it is in the USA.
Many people
take a pumpkin and take out the middle than cut a face in it.
The face has
two eyes, a mouth and then you light a candle and put it inside.
The sight of
a pumpkin with a light in it is a little scary.
Halloween is very very
popular in the United States and it is held on the night of the 31st
of
October.
Traditionally children dress up as witches or ghosts and go from
door to door asking
for sweets.
If someone refuses to give sweets then
the children can play a trick which can be
anything.
<Tomoeさんからのお便りです。みなさんどう思う?>
Topic: Say what you feel and
share it with others.
This is a letter from Tomoe.
Thank you for your
opinion and I wanted to put this in the mag
so that others can think about
writing.
It is important to talk about how you feel for your health and well
being.............
I'm also shocked at the news that happened in New York
city.
I've been there three times there and I've visited the World Trade
Center
to see the Statue of Liberty and other places in New York.
I have
stood on the top of those buildings five times.
And I so look forward to
visiting there again someday.
I loved the area around the World Trade
Center, eating pizza on the ground,
and shopping at century 21st in front
of there.
I can't believe that the World Trade Center isn't in New York
anymore.
And I can't forgive the people who destroyed the buildings.
But I
also think that the war is not the answer.
Now I'm worried about that will be
happen in the world.

Please
have a look at this site recommended by Mana.
It was very inspirational and
the photography was just breathtaking!
Take a look and pass it on to others
so they too can enjoy the scenery.
Thank you Mana you have really shared a
well done site on the Internet.
If you find a site that you would like to
share with others please let me know.
Let's all be friends and give one
another some joy.
Life is full of people who may not always want to be your
friend but here
at Ajet World....
We are friends and we should all care
about one another.

In

when the blossoms come out.
Well here we have the Jacaranda.
The
Jacaranda tree flowers about now and the flowers are purple.
The tree is
covered in flowers and as the flowers fall there is a carpet of purple under the
tree.
It does look beautiful.

Poem.....
The Jacaranda has a purple flower
It really is quite
pretty
When it flowers we will dance
All around the city
The flower
drops around the tree
It makes a carpet there
People drive by to take a
look
They all come to stop and stare
The Jacaranda flower is here
Enjoy them even in the rain
Or next year we will have to wait
Till
they bloom again
<オールとラリアで頑張っているこんな日本人もいるのよ!>
Topic: Living in
Australia
There is a small shop in my area and it is owned by a lovely lady
from Tochigi Prefecture in Japan.
Her family have lived in that area for over
700 years and she loved it there.
Then she went to Tokyo and met an
Australian man and they married.
She moved to Australia and started a small
store here.
http://www.ajet-japan.com/WeeklyPictures.htm
She
has some amazing things in the store.
So if you would like to visit her she
would love to see some people from her home country.
Her name is Tokiko
Dawson and if you would like to order something from her or visit her
shop
or talk to her I will pass on your message.
Some of the wooden bowls
she sells are fantastic and she also sells aboriginal art as well.
So if you
are looking for something interesting then she has the answer for you.
Even
if you do not want to buy anything maybe you would like to talk to her
as a
person living in Australia.
Just e-mail me and I will put you in touch with
her.
I think she is amazing and her courage to live here and own a shop
deserves support.
<今週はこれでおしまい。お便り下さいね!>
Well that is all for this
week
I want to here from you
Tell me what you think
Tell me what you
know
Just tell me whatever is on your mind...
Take care and keep
smiling

changed so we all have to look around us.
We all have to take
care.
Please, if you are planning a trip anywhere make sure you stay
aware
of everything around you.
If you are staying in a hotel make sure
you know
where the fire extinguisher is and the stairs.
I don't want to
worry you but I want you to be safe!
<もう心臓ドキドキものよ!>
Topic: Airport
scare
I was finally able to get a plane to get home to Australia.
The
plane was leaving at 7pm and the airline told me to be
at the airport 3 1/2
hours before the flight.
All the hand luggage had to be checked so it would
take time they said.
I got to the airport and there were people everywhere.
There were security people and police all through the airport.
I checked
in and went through the hand luggage checks.
We were all ready to get on the
plane then a policeman yelled at us to get back.
We were all put in a
circle.
Someone had found a white powder.
We all waited, scared that we
would have to go through the decontamination
procedure.
The
decontamination meant we would have to go through a water bath
in our
clothes.
After 20 minutes it was found that the powder was from a
magazine
and everything was ok.
Oh but my heart was beating very quickly
and I was glad to get home.
<ふとんねずみ???>
A joke from a
reader.......
Japan has banned all animal movements after discovering some
nibbled
beds in Tokyo. They think it could be an outbreak of Futon
Mouse.
Sorry this joke was sent to make people smile so please do not be
offended.

Topic: The flag is
important
In the US many people are very very sad and many did not know what
to do.
So to do something to help, everyone has been showing their
patriotism
by waving flags.
In times of trouble in a country it is
important that everyone helps one another
as much as they can.
I was
impressed with all Americans as they put the flag on their homes,
cars,
shirts and some even got tattoos!
I then realized how important it
is to believe in something in times of trouble
and how a country can have a
disaster but still try to go on as normal.
The spirit of the people is
important.
Everyone has to believe in their own country and stay close to
important things
such as family.
So before you go in the morning or when
you come home at night give everyone
a kiss and hug to let them know how
important they are.
Be thankful you live where you do.
Take pride in
Japan. http://www.ajet-japan.com/Picture1.htm
<どうせなら楽しくやろうよ!>
Topic:
Having fun!
I always say that if you are too serious you will miss out on
life.
You need to laugh, smile and have fun.
Sometimes we all forget how
to have fun and do some silly things.
If you can laugh at yourself then you
will surely be a kinder person
and people will love to be with you.
http://www.ajet-japan.com/Picture2.htm
So
with your children ...put your arms up and fly like a plane.
http://www.ajet-japan.com/Picture3.htm
With
your co-workers try to do something silly sometimes...no need
to paint
yourself red but try to do something nice for someone.
http://www.ajet-japan.com/Picture4.htm
Send
your wife or husband a card in the post.
Tell jokes!
Relax and just enjoy
being the special person you are.
There is after all only one of
you!
<誰もが不完全なのだから...>
Topic: Love
Well we don't always feel that we
are a perfect match with our partners.
Sometimes we feel that we have nothing
in common.
If you are really lucky you have found your soulmate and are
incredibly
happy. http://www.ajet-japan.com/Picture5.htm
However
love is usually not like that and it is like a roller coaster.
Some days are
good and some are bad.
Remember that none of us are perfect and that is a
good thing.
Be sure though not to be mean to your husband/wife/ boyfriend
/girlfriend
and pick out all their bad points.
Try instead to focus on
all their good points and they will feel happier.
You are not perfect
either.
Start in the morning with a compliment.
After dinner both of you
make a list of things you really admire about one another.
Relationships take
work so be creative and think of some new ways
to bring the two of you
closer together.
<ネパールの子供達に鉛筆を送ってやってネ!それじゃまた来週!>
That is all for this
week
Please keep sending those pens to Nepal as they are getting
to the
children in places where there is no transport at all.
We are working towards
making the world a better place so please keep up
the good work and get
others to do it too...even if they don't read the mag.
Love to hear you are
all fine
Take care

<みんな元気?今週も合衆国からお届けするわ!>
Hello Everyone!
Sorry it
has been a little long to get this e-mag to you.
I am in the US and went to
visit Washington City.
If you have not yet been there then it is certainly a
great place to go
if you want to see some truly American
architecture.
You can see nearly all the major sights in one day
as they
are all within walking distance.
I just wish my timing to have a holiday here
was better
but here I am so I had better make the best of
it.
<人の印象って...>
Topic: Impressions
We all make an impression on
other people.
This comes from everything we do and say to another
person.
Unless you are married or are related in some way
then
impressions are made quickly.
You can create a good impression or a bad
one
in the first 30 seconds you meet someone.
If you do create a bad
impression then it will usually take a long time
to undo the damage so
beware!
Take time to be neat and well dressed if you want to look like
you are a well organized person.
If you want to look cool and relaxed then
wear casual clothes.
When you are traveling it is not a good idea these days
to look like a tourist.
So put your camera in your backpack and only get out
maps when you need to.
Do NOT carry a map in your hand.
Look like you live
in the country you are traveling to
and you will find it is safer.
Put a
small lock on your backpack just to be safe
that no one is taking
anything
as you are sightseeing.
I saw a lady open another lady's
backpack as she was crossing the road.
The lady did not feel anything or see
anything but the policeman
on the other side of the road did.
That was
very lucky!
<新幹線のお弁当とワシントンのホットドッグ>
Topic:Treasure every moment
I
was sitting in the park just near The Capital building in Washington.
It was
a beautiful day and the squirrels were all playing in the park.
I realized
that I was so lucky to be there
and to be able to see, hear and smell
everything.
It was all so beautiful.
Then I went to get some lunch and the
food was very different.
I have never really eaten a hotdog before
but I
know it is American so I thought I should try.
I looked at the sausage on a
bun and wished I was eating an obento
on the shinkansen instead.
It was a
beautiful day and so I continued sightseeing......
<成功の秘訣は...>
Topic:
Be a success.........7 steps to think about
Revisit your vision.
Make a list of things you want to achieve.
Then put them on the
refrigerator or near your desk at work.
Everyday work towards the goals no
matter how small the steps are...
small steps are better than no steps!
Focus on what you can change.
Set goals that you know you can achieve.
They must be possible but they require work and determination.
Never
ever give up!
Never blame yourself if you are feeling like you are not
getting
what you want then change the way you do things.
Be positive.
You must stay positive.
It is ok to feel negative but achieve small
things
and get on your way to the success you deserve.
Be true to
yourself.
Choose activities, places, and situations because you like them,
not because you think you should.
Share the highlights.
Tell your
husband or wife about your daily achievements.
Get him or her involved with
the goals.
With a friend to help you then that will give you more
energy
to achieve the goals.
Track your progress.
Take five
minutes each evening to record the best moments of your day
-- the things
that made you feel best -- in a notebook.
You will be less negative and
more positive.
You'll also be more motivated to achieve your goals.
Tune into the process of exercise.
If you want to do something over a
lifetime you have to keep going.
Make sure you have a healthy mind and a
healthy body so you will be at your best.
Encourage yourself because you
must care for you
so then you can care for
others.
<ペンタゴンのダメージ>
Topic: The damage
I wanted to tell you that I
saw the Pentagon.
It looked terrible and the building is really very badly
damaged
on one side.
The rest of it is fine and you can just see a huge
hole in the side surrounded
in black from the fire.
The security around
the place is so strict now
that you can only see it from the highway
really.
If you are planning to visit the White House
then please check as
it is now opened for tours.
As for the Pentagon I think it will take a long
time to rebuild.
The damage was extensive.
<それじゃーまた!合衆国より...>
Well
that is all for this week
Talk to you all soon
