Hello Everyone!!
How are you doing? Well I am on holidays at the moment in Australia and the weather is great. There are lots of people here for the Christmas holidays.
ハロー　みなさん！今オーストラリアにいるのよ！
天気もご機嫌。こちらクリスマス休暇で賑わっているわよ。

Christmas in Japan
I remember one Christmas I spent in Japan. I really wanted to see snow on Christmas day. I have always had a hot Christmas in Australia and it is usually beside a swimming pool or near the beach. I thought a white Christmas would be beautiful and really special.Well, I went to work in the morning as usual and it was very cold and bleak. I saw that it was cloudy and I hoped that it wouldn't rain.
A rainy Christmas day would not be fun.
I finished work at 7pm and looked out the window. It was a fantastic sight.

Everything was glowing white and as I was driving home I was singing Christmas carols in my car. It was lucky I was alone. If I had anyone with me they might have got out of the car at the traffic signal and run away.
I was having a great time but then my car started to slide on the road so I slowed down. I stopped singing and started to worry. The snow was really heavy now. Then all the cars ahead of me stopped and it took me four hours to drive home in the traffic jam.My car slid all the way home and it was then I thought that a white Christmas is great as long as you are inside a warm house.It looks pretty but it is dangerous. I hope Santa has snow tires!

日本でのクリスマス
日本でクリスマスを過ごした時、雪を見たかったの。オーストラリアでは、いつも暑いクリスマスばかりで、プールサイドとか海辺でやっていたから、ホワイトクリスマスってとてもきれいで、特別素敵だろうって思っていたのよ。いつものように朝仕事に出かけ、とても寒くていやな日だったから、雨が降らなければいいと思っていた。雨のクリスマスなんてつまらないし。午後７時に仕事を終えて、窓の外を見たら、とてもファンタスティックな光景。車の中でクリスマスキャロルを歌いながら運転していると、だんだんみんな真っ白になっていく。もし、誰かと乗っていたら、きっと信号機のところで外に出て、逃げていってしまったかと思う...というのは、素晴らしい時間を過ごしていたのだけど、私の車が滑り始めてしまって、歌うのを止めてとても冷や冷やものだったから。雪がどかどか降ってきて、前の車も止まってしまうし、交通渋滞の中で４時間もかかって家に着いたのよ。私の車はスリップばかり。ホワイトクリスマスは、暖かい家の中に居れば最高だってそのとき思ったわ。とてもきれいだけど、デンジュラスね！サンタさんもスノータイヤが欲しいところネ！

Christmas things:
Christmas Tree - A tree that is put up before Christmas and it is taken down before the New Year.
It is bad luck to keep it up in the New Year.
Christmas Cheer - This is the good feeling that Christmas brings.
We say that we spread Christmas cheer this means that we try to make other people happy.
Some people say: Christmas cheer let's have a beer!
Bon Bon - These are popular at Christmas dinner.
They are bright and colorful and make a loud pop when two people pull them.
They usually contain a party hat and a very silly joke.
Mrs Claus - She is Santa's wife.
North pole - The place where Santa lives.
Ho...ho...ho - Santa says this as he delivers presents.

クリスマスの必需品
クリスマスツリー：クリスマス前に立てられ、新年の前にしまわれる。新年まで持ち越すのは良くないこととされているの。
クリスマスチェアー：クリスマスのいい雰囲気を醸し出す。クリスマスチェアーを広げる事は、人々に幸せをしようとすることなの。
クリスマスの椅子はビールを勧めるっていう人もいるの。
ボンボン：クリスマスディナーでポピュラー。光ってカラフル２人で引っ張るとはじける
パーティーハットでばかなジョーク...
Mrs Claus -サンタさんの奥さん
North pole -北極　サンタさんの住むところ
ホーホーホー：サンタさんがプレゼントを配る時に言う

＜サンタさんの言葉＞
Well here is the top five things Santa says at Christmas:
1. Ho...Ho.....Ho
2. Reindeers smell!!!!
3. I get airsick.
4. Red is not my color!!!
5. I had a busy day at work (25th to Mrs Santa)

＜トナカイさんの言葉＞
Top five things the Reindeer say:
1. Oh...oh...oh.
2. I wish Santa would lose a few kilograms
3. I want a payrise....this job stinks!!!
4. All this big guy says is Ho....Ho...Ho
5. Nothing, reindeers can't talk!!!
Well to finish with... did you know that Santa used to wear a green suit until
Coke-Cola put him
in a red and white suit to advertize their product.

注：Reindeer's smel：トナカイさんの臭い、airsick：航空機に酔う　lose a few kilograms：少し痩せる、payrise：昇給　
stink：きつい、All this big guy says is Ho....Ho...Ho：でかい奴はホーホーホーしか言わない　

最後に・・サンタさんは、いつもはグリーンのスーツを着ているって知ってた？・・・コカコーラが商品を
宣伝するために赤と白のスーツを着せるまでは・・・
