I think we need
to do more for the environment in Japan. We do not have
enough recycling and we also have problems with all the garbage in the street sometimes. In Australia do
you have these problems?

日本では、もっと環境に気を配るべきと思うの。リサイクルも充分でないし、道路にはゴミが・・オーストラリアではどうなの？
Hi Takomi,
I think the problems are everywhere but we are very lucky in Australia because our population is so small. However, at the moment the supermarkets are charging money for shopping bags and that is a great idea. You can bring your own shopping bags to the supermarket and reduces the amount of plastic in the garbage. Also you can buy cloth bags from the supermarket and use them.
If you start a
trend you will be surprised how many people will follow you!

ゴミの問題は、どこでも同じだと思うわ。でも、ラッキーなのはオーストラリアは日本と比べて極端に人口がすくないから、汚れも目立たないのかもね。でも、スーパマーケットでは、ショッピングバックも有料なのよ。こっれって、とてもいいアイデアよね！

Small or Large College
Dear Ajet,
I want to study English and then I want to do a journalism course. Do you
know a college in the U.S.?
Is it better to go to a small or large college?

Dear Miwa,
Take your time in choosing a college and I think it is best to talk to as many people as possible because there are so many choices. I have just moved to the U.S. and there are so many colleges and so many different costs. I do know one really good college and it is Carroll College in Waukesha. I have met the international education coordinator from the college and she is very nice. I have met a couple of the international students too and they told me they love the college because it is small so everyone knows you. アメリカには沢山学校があるし、授業料も様々。私もアメリカに越して来て、素晴らしい大学を知っているわ。
WaukeshaのCarroll Collegeていうのだけど、国際教育のコーディネータを知ってるけど、彼女はとてっもナイスよ....何人かの学生たちも小さい学校だけど好きだっていってたわ。小さい大学だからお互い顔なじみにもなるしね。インターネットで探してみてね。私にメールで尋ねてもかまわないわよ。

ネパールの最新情報
Nepal update-
As you know we have a child in Nepal that we support but due to all the violence there we have lost touch with our contact. We can no longer send pens or money to support Pramela. So we are looking to find a new way to better the world. We are looking for an orphanage in India to support.
We will keep you up-to-date with the orphanage we find. Then we will send different things such as t-shirts to make the kids lives a little better little by little.
Why not do something for others…it is good for the spirit!!!

以前から、私たちが援助していたネパールの子供のことだけど、そこでの暴動や様々理由で残念ながら連絡が取れなくなってしまったの。だから、今は、Parameraちゃんに、残念ながらペンや資金を送ることができなくなってしまったわ。今、世の中をもっとよくするための新しい方法を探しているのよ・・・・
みなさん、他の人々の助けてあげましょう・・・とても気持ちのいいものよ！
