Hello Everyone
We would like to thank you for your support for 2003 and hope that 2004 is a great year for you all. It will be a great year to focus on all our new goals. This year will be the year of laughs so we hope the mag will be a little more funny and that you will send us some of your funny stories.

みなさん！２００３年は応援してくれてありがとう！２００４年はきっと素晴らしい年になるよう願っているわ！
今年は新しいゴールを目指して頑張りましょう。そして楽しい年にしましょう！そのためにも少し笑いを取り入れるわ。みなさんも楽しい話があったら聞かせてね！

人生の中でとっても恥ずかしかった事を取り上げてみるわ
This week is looking at Life’s most embarrassing moments.

Have you ever done anything that you are really embarrassed about?
皆さんは、とっても恥ずかしい思いをしたことは、あるかしら？？？

I was very embarrassed because I was sightseeing in Japan and I caught a bus to go to a temple in Kyoto. The temple was supposed to be about thirty minutes away from where I caught the bus. The bus stopped many times and I could not recognize the stop to get off the bus. After a while I was the only person riding on the bus and then the bus stopped at a big terminal. The driver tried to tell me to get off but I could not understand. Then he said to me, “Where going?” I looked at my map and pointed to the temple. He started the bus again and drove me to the temple. I was very embarrassed because I had caught the wrong bus.

He was very kind and I will never forget it.

京都旅行へ言った時、バスで３０分程のところのお寺に行こうとしたの。どこで降りたらいいのか判らなくてね・・・暫くしたら、お客さんがみんな降りてしまって、残されたのは、私だけ。バスは大きなターミナルに止まって、運転手さんは私に何か言うのだけれど、何て言ってるのか判らなくて・・・　そして”何処　行くの？”っていうから、地図を出して指を指したら運転手さんが、またバスを走らせてくれて、親切に私をそのお寺まで連れて行ってくれたのよ。とても恥ずかしかった。
だって、行き先の違ったバスにのってしまっていたのですから。
でも、運転手さんはとても親切だった。彼を一生忘れないわ！


New Year’s Resolutions
新年の抱負

We all try to make them …..them we all never keep them! So why do people make them at all. I asked people where they keep their resolutions so they can remember them!!!

1. On the refrigerator- So when I go to eat I can remember my new year resolution to DIET!

2. In the bathroom on the mirror- So when I clean my teeth I can see my goals for the year.

3. In the car- I drive everyday and one of my resolutions is to be more careful when I drive.

In Japan is it popular to make resolutions?

みんな新年の抱負を決めるけど・・・殆どの人がそれを守らない！どうしたら守れるのかしら？？？
どこに何を貼っておいたら守れるのかな？？？

１．冷蔵庫の中−何か食べたくなったら開けると・・・DIET　ですって
２．バスルームの鏡に-歯を磨くときにいつでも目標が判るのよ
３．車の中-車を毎日運転するでしょう。抱負の１つが、”もっと安全運転を”なのよ

A foreigner sent me this and you can no doubt read the Japanese explanation but foreigners cannot so it seems a little strange to them.

一人の外国の方がこの写真を送ってくれたのだけど・・・勿論日本の方は日本語の説明が読めるからいいけど、外国人にとっては何の事なのかサッパリ判らない・・・それにこの絵チョッとSTRANGEだわ・・・・・
