<みんな!これってホントなの?? 睡眠は充分取らなくっちゃネ!>
Hello Everyone!!!
I heard a terrible story about a person who dropped dead at his desk in Japan. He was quite young and it was very sudden. I was told this happens regularly because people work such long hours and do not get enough sleep..(dropped dead : 急死した)
Do you know if this is you? Is this happening to one of your friends? What can you do?
Of course, it is difficult to change the office culture and you just hope that you have a boss that takes care of his/her staff. You need to do something about it because it is your life and you have only one life to live. Here are some tips-

1. Make sure to have the weekend as a holiday- If you only have Sunday as a holiday make sure you do something fun. You may feel tired so rest longer in the morning and plan a trip somewhere for the afternoon.

2.Try to have as much humour at work as you can as laughing is supposed to relieve stress
3.Try to get home as early as you can even if you have to take a little work home, at least you are at home with your family.
4.Take holidays every year as you need to refresh every year.
5.Record all your hours in a diary from the time you leave home to the time you arrive home.
6.Take cat naps at your desk at work if you feel really tired( A Cat nap is a short 10-15min sleep)
7.
Try to cut down on your coffee as the caffeine can make your heart race.
8.Exercise! Make sure you get out and move around at lunch if you can.
9.Do a life pie so you know what is important to you and keep it so you can see it every day
10. Be a trailblazer! Dare to be different and love it!!!!

(trailblazer:開拓者).

The Pie Exercise
-

Draw a circle- on a piece of paper. This circle is the pie. Now cut the pie into bits by putting how much time you spend on everything in one day. For example- Work, study, eating, sleeping, talking with friends, getting to and from work, getting ready for work, shopping and reading etc.

Then you will see clearly what you are spending all your time doing. (Different colors always help)
Now write a list of your top 10 priorities. If it is family, reading, or exercise for example and the section is small then you need to think about changing the pie.
If you have too much pie for work and not enough for family then you know that you need to change the balance. You may not realize that you are not spending enough time until you see it. You may be very surprised with the result so make sure you are honest with yourself.

Prameela Update
We are currently sponsoring Prameela and I am happy to say she is doing well at school. We have paid for her uniforms and her school fees for the year. We are also helping Lila but we could not get a place in the school for this term. If you want to help with Jee Van then please contact: Mr Bishal Chamling

Bishal is a real saint. He helps the children and makes sure they get a place in the local government school. He also helps the local street children. If you are planning a trip to Nepal with friends, he will give you the best advice. Please keep sending those school supplies -pencils and notebooks.
I want to say a special thank you to Nishi-sama for his help and support.
We walk this earth but once…..let us take a path that is paved with hope!

Be an inspiration to others by reaching out and making a difference.
Take care and talk to you next week.
