Hello Everyone!

Well the time has come to do a new-year-clean-out of all those things that you have started and never finished. For me, I started to learn guitar and it is still sitting in it’s case. I started to write some letters and they just never made it to the post and most of all I have decided to actually learn Urdu (A language spoken in Pakistan and India) and French but the phrase book for both languages remain unopened. Oh and there is that scarf I was making for our Ajet sponsored Nepalese child Prameela but I am sure she would have left school by the time I get that done. Oh, by the way thank you to those of you who have sent some money to help with her entry to school. She still needs some money for uniforms, notepads and pens so please send anything you can as soon as possible because she depends on us.

Anyway I was looking at those things it is time to really start and finish some things so lets set some goals together and see what we can all do. Keep a diary so you can see how far you have gone. Now in terms of the English study it is time to get serious!!!! I want you to e-mail me questions if you have any.

The first task for us all is to watch a movie in English……try to copy down as many words as you can and this will help your hearing. Then if you like the movie let me know what it was and tell me how you went.

Where is this scene?

Here you see a beautiful fountain. Have you been here before and what country do you think it is in. It is a mystery for sure but have a guess and you just never know you may get it right. Do you need a clue? The clue is………the name of the city where this fountain is located begins with ‘C’!!!

Coffee Time- This week in coffee time meet the people in the office.

There is Marcy.

Marcy is always talking on the telephone and she is sometimes a little nasty if things are not done her way.

There is Greg…….

Greg is Marcy’s boss. He is a really cool guy but everything breaks when he touches it. The photocopier hates him!!!

 

Then there is Stacy. She just joined the office as an engineer after graduating from university.

Finally there is David ….well David is really into sports and he just loves to talk about all kinds of sports. He is especially keen on water sports.
