<皆さん!元気ですか?人生は1度しかないのから...>
Hello
Everyone!!!!

The world is waiting for you and there is heaps to see.
There is too much in this world for us to ever see everything in it but we have to try.
The saying is “You only live once”.
So if you can travel that is great but if you cannot then grab a book from the library
or just order cable TV.
Whatever you are able to do learn more about the world around you.
It will make you a more interesting person to know because you will become more interested in
other things.
There is so much beauty in the world and so much mystery so don’t waste a moment!

The Alien
Test
In Japan people from countries other than Japan
are called “Aliens”.
In many countries such as the US most people think of Aliens as little green men that come
from Mars.
I have got to tell you it felt strange and a little shocking to be called an “Alien” in Japan.
When I was living in Japan I was issued an “Alien Card” so when I came home from holidays
to Australia I would show my friends and tell them I had moved to Mars for a while.
My friends would then write to me to ask me what it was like living in mars so I would send
them some roasted peas in a packet.
I would tell them that this was Martian food.
Sometimes I heard people get upset about being called an alien but really it does not matter
because we are all on the same planet……I think.
<キンバ!!じゃなくてシンバなのよ!>
Kimba!!!! No it is Simba!!!

I was just a small child when I packed every thing into a small red school case.
I packed lots of lion food which I believed to be dry stale biscuits from the dog’s bowl
and a food items that were essential for travel to Africa such as insect repellent.
Well than many years later I came to Japan and found that Kimba (known as Simba in Japan)
was actually Japanese and that he was very very popular.
Finally I was able to buy a T-Shirt with Kimba on it and that was just fantastic.
Growing up with Kimba and Astro Boy (Atom in Japan) was terrific and I am sure that
these characters will live on in the children to come…
when they get bored with Pokemon perhaps.
Does anyone know the name of the Japanese artist or rather cartoonist that created
these characters as it would be great to
know?

*Kimba: 手塚治のジャングル大帝レオの事です。
*Astro Boy: 鉄腕アトム *Pokemon:ポケモン
どれもオーストラリアでは有名だそうですよ。

Have you ever felt like this on a train?
When I was in Japan I was catching a train for the first time in Tokyo from a station called Ueno.
I am sure you all know it well.
There was a man with white gloves and he was pushing people onto the train.
He was gentle but it was very stressful because there were so many people.
I was with two other Australians and we were so scared that we ran out of the station
and found another line.
I came back to Ueno a while later and there was not as many people so we must have caught it
in peak hour.
Boy!
Was it scary!
Here where I live you can get a seat even in peak hour.

Well that is all for this week….talk to me…tell me what you like to hear….
I will answer………until then….English…it is easy if you practice!
So get writing!
